Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe – Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will meet your safari guide. Drive southwest towards Queen Elizabeth National Park, passing through traditional homesteads, tea plantations, and rolling hills. Arrive in the evening and check into your lodge.

Day 2: Game Drive & Kazinga Channel Boat Cruise

Start the day with an early morning game drive in Kasenyi Plains where you’ll spot lions, elephants, buffaloes, Uganda kobs, and warthogs. Return to the lodge for breakfast and relaxation. In the afternoon, enjoy a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, famous for hippos, crocodiles, elephants, and abundant birdlife such as African fish eagles and pelicans.

Day 3: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park (via Ishasha Sector)

After breakfast, drive through the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth NP, renowned for its tree-climbing lions. Continue to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, home to half of the world’s endangered mountain gorillas. Arrive in the evening and check into your lodge.

Day 4: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

This is the highlight of your safari. After an early breakfast, head to the park headquarters for a briefing and then begin your trek into the forest. The trek can take 2–6 hours depending on gorilla movements. Spend one magical hour observing and photographing the gorillas. Return to the lodge for relaxation. In the evening, you can opt for a Batwa cultural experience.

Day 5: Return to Entebbe – Departure

After breakfast, begin your journey back to Kampala/Entebbe with stopovers for lunch and craft shopping. Arrive in the evening and drop off at your hotel or Entebbe International Airport for your flight.
