Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe – Transfer to Lake Mburo or Fort Portal
Arrive at Entebbe International Airport and meet your guide. Drive towards Lake Mburo National Park or Fort Portal, with scenic photo stops along the way. Overnight at your lodge.

Day 2: Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park
After breakfast, drive to Kibale Forest, the primate capital of Uganda. Afternoon walk at Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary for birding and primate spotting.

Morning chimpanzee trekking in Kibale Forest. You may also see red-tailed monkeys, black-and-white colobus monkeys, and a variety of forest birds. Afternoon visit to local communities or optional nature walk.

Day 4: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park (Ishasha Sector)
Drive to Queen Elizabeth NP, passing scenic crater lakes. Afternoon game drive in Ishasha, famous for tree-climbing lions.

Day 5: Morning Game Drive & Kazinga Channel Boat Cruise
Morning game drive in Kasenyi Plains to spot elephants, buffaloes, antelopes, and lions. Afternoon boat cruise on Kazinga Channel to view hippos, crocodiles, and abundant birdlife.

Day 6: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
After breakfast, transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. En route, stop at viewpoints and enjoy Uganda’s rolling hills. Check into your lodge and relax.

Day 7: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi (Buhoma or Ruhija Sector)
Early morning briefing at the park headquarters followed by gorilla trekking. Trek can take 2–6 hours depending on gorilla location. Spend one hour observing and photographing these gentle giants. Evening relaxation at the lodge.

Day 8: Optional Gorilla Habituation or Birding in Bwindi
Optional second gorilla trekking experience or spend the day birding and hiking in Bwindi. Target Albertine Rift endemics like Grauer’s Broadbill, Regal Sunbird, and Rwenzori Turaco.

Day 9: Transfer Back to Queen Elizabeth National Park
Drive back to Queen Elizabeth NP for an afternoon game drive or optional nature walk in the Kyambura Gorge, home to habituated chimpanzees.
